【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethepercentactivesineachtypeofthedisinfectantquaternaryammoniumsalts,andalsointhedisinfectantproducts.Quaternaryammoniumcompoundsbeingtheactiveingredientsindisinfectant-typeproductsrequireaccuratedeterminationtoassessthecostandantimicrobialperformanceofsuchproducts.1.1Thistestmethodcoversapotentiometrictitrationprocedurefordeterminingactivematterindisinfectantquaternaryammoniumsalts.Thistestmethodisintendedfortheanalysisofquaternaryammoniumsaltsusedasdisinfectants,andonlyappliestothefollowingcommonlyusedquaternaryammoniumsalts:n-alkyldimethylbenzylammoniumchloride(seeFig.1),cetyltrimethylammoniumchloride,andablendofn-octyldecyldimethylammoniumchloride,di-n-octyldimethylammoniumchloride,anddi-n-decyldimethylammoniumchloride(seeFig.2).Also,thistestmethodcanbeappliedtotheanalysisofdisinfectanttypeproductswheretheformulaingredientsareknownandthequaternaryammoniumsaltisoneoftheabove.Interferencessuchasaminesoxidesandbetainespresentindisinfectantformulationswerenottested.1.2ThisdisinfectantquaternaryammoniumsaltconformstothestructuresinFig.1andFig.2.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionaryinformation,seeSection8.
