【摘要】:Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsformaterial,performance,workmanshipandtestmethodsforthequalificationof2in.andsmallermechanicalcouplingsthatconnecttoDR15.5andlowerpolyethyleneconduit,ductandinnerductcoveredbySpecificationF2160.Throughoutthisstandard,"conduit"refersto"conduit,ductorinnerduct"manufacturedinaccordancewithSpecificationF2160.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitswhichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thecouplingscoveredbythisspecificationaretypicallydesignedtojoinbetweenconduitends(in-linecoupling).Thesamecoupling-to-conduitjointdesignmaybeusedasapartofothercouplingjointdesignsthattelescope,orconnecttobulkheads,orotheradapterfittingdesigns.Therequirementsofthisstandardapplyonlytothecoupling-to-conduitjointdesign.Theperformancerequirementsofothercouplingjointdesignsarenotapartofthisstandard.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
