【摘要】:WithinthegeneralscopeasdefinedinSectionI,B30.3appliestoconstructiontowercranes,poweredbyelectricmotorsorinternalcombustionengines,andanyvariationsthereofwhichretainthesamefundamentalcharacteristics.Thescopeincludescranesoftheabovetypethatadjustoperatingradiusbymeansofaboomluffingmechanism,orbymeansofatrolleytraversingahorizontalboom,orbymeansofacombinationofthetwo.Constructiontowercranesmaybemountedonfixedortravelingbases.Additionalmountingmeansmayincludearrangementsthatpermitthecranetoclimbinthestructurebeingbuilt,orthatpermitincreasingthetowerheightasthestructurerisesandutilizingbracesattachedtothehoststructureasneeded.Therequirementsofthisvolumeareapplicableonlytocraneswhenusedinliftingwork.Permanentlymountedtowercranes(refertoASMEB30.4)andmobilecranetowerattachments(refertoASMEB30.5)arenotwithinthescopeofthisvolume.
