【摘要】:Thisisaguidetohelpamanufacturerdistributor,orimporterestablishareasonablebasisforcareinformation.Themanufacturer,distributor,orimportershouldpossess,priortosale,reliableevidencethattheproductwasnotharmedwhenrefurbishedreasonablyoftenaccordingtotheinstructions.Additionallytheyshouldpossessreliableevidencethattheproductorafairsampleoftheproductwouldbeharmedwhenrefurbishedbymethodswarnedagainstonthelabel.Thisguideisintendedforgeneralusebythosewhowishtodeterminewhetherapparelorothertextileproductswillperforminanacceptablemannerwhenthecareinstructionsonthelabelarefollowed.Refurbishedproductsareevaluatedagainstpreviouslyselectedproductperformancespecificationstodeterminewhethertheproductscanberefurbishedsuccessfullybyfollowingtheinstructionsonthecarelabel.1.1Thisguidemaybeusedtodetermineandconfirmtheappropriatecarelabelinstructionsforapparel,piecegoods,andothertextileproductsexcludingtextilefloorcoveringsandupholstery.1.2Thisguideencompassesthefollowingcareprocedures:homelaundering,professionaltextilecare,andotheralternativecleaningmethods.1.3Thisguideincludesprovisionforevaluatingthecompletetextileproductandtheproductcomponents.1.4Thisguidecoverstheperformancecharacteristicsasaresultofrefurbishingthatareimportantindeterminingtheacceptabilityofatextileproduct.1.5Thisguideisappropriatefortheevaluationofallgarmentsandhouseholdtextilesthataresoldwithcarelabels.1.5.1Thisguidemayalsobeusedinconnectionwiththeevaluationofsimilarmaterialsthatdonothaveacarelabel.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
