【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodprovidesameansformonitoringcorrosivityofenvironmentalteststhatinvolveexposuretocorrosivegases.1.2Thistestmethodusesaresistancemonitor(RM)probefabricatedfromachosenmetalconductor,withoneconductorsegmentuncoveredtopermitexposureofthechosenmetalconductortothecorrosivegasmixtureandthesecondconductorsegmentcoveredtoprotectthemetalconductorofthissegmentfromdirectattackbythecorrosivegasmixture.Thecoveredconductorsegmentprovidesareferenceforevaluatingchangesintheuncoveredsegment.Theratiooftheresistanceoftheexposedsegmenttothatofthecoveredsegmentprovidesameasureoftheamountofmetalconductorthathasreactedwiththecorrosivegastestenvironmenttoformpoorlyconductingcorrosionproduct,thusprovidingameasureoftestcorrosivity.1.3Resistancemonitoringisapplicabletoabroadrangeoftestconditionsbyselectionoftheappropriatemetalconductorandinitialmetalthickness.1.4ThismethodissimilarinintenttoTestMethodsB808.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheetforthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
